This year was immixGroup’s 6th annual Government IT Sales Summit, an industry conference held in Reston, Virginia which brings together nearly 1,000 solution providers, systems integrators and IT manufacturers looking to drive results that matter—for federal, state and local agencies as well as a healthy bottom line for industry.

Gary Hix, Hitachi Vantara Federal’s Director of Engineering, participated in the panel discussion titled: The Federal Data Evolution: New Strategies and Advanced Technology. This session addressed the anticipated impact of the four areas of the new data strategy, as well as emerging technologies for trusted data storage, access and analytics – including hyperconverged infrastructures, software-defined networking and advanced enterprise storage arrays. The discussion was moderated by Nick Wakeman, Editor-in-Chief of Washington Technology. Other panel members included Jean Edwards – Executive Director of Strategic Programs at Dell EMC Federal, and Oki Mek – Chief Technology Officer for the Division of Acquisition at the Department of Health and Human Services.
