Ed Schulman is the Director of Intelligence, Defense and Special Programs for Hitachi Vantara Federal, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Vantara, and is responsible for revenue generating operations and account oversight for National Security programs. In this capacity Ed leads Hitachi Vantara Federal’s approach to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community. This includes overseeing the execution of strategic relationships to guide his team of account executives in delivering innovative solutions supporting national security missions.
With more than 30 years in the defense industry, including 10 at Hitachi Vantara Federal, Ed is known for his expertise in delivering customers the right technology to support their mission needs. Prior to his current role, Ed was a top performing Hitachi Vantara Federal DoD Account Executive who generated significant revenue for the company, including a $9 million SANs deal with Radford and Redstone Arsenal. He also has supported the sales team as a District Operations Manager managing the quoting and fulfillment process for three years.
Prior to joining Hitachi Vantara Federal, Ed worked as a Solutions Consultant and then as a Sales Representative at HP overseeing a $100 million portfolio and closing a $50 million deal with the Major Share Resource Center (MSRC) for the DoD’s High Performance Computing Modernization Program. Ed began his career as a software engineer working on a cruise missile system and helping write the government’s internal Computer Aided Design (CAD) System.
Ed earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and his Master of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Louisville. He is a Bengals season ticket holder since 1991, but the team has never won a playoff game since Ed has held season tickets.
